I've heard Getaway live 3 times and Wrigley #1 2018 was the best one for me.
Haven't listened to the version from Melbourne that Bob mentioned...

I've done the research on this question.  Refused to believe there wasn't a good version of this song.   The answer is Melbourne  Australia January 24th 2014.  It's flawless, look it up.
...but if I had to pick one it'd be this or Sydney 2014. RBO used it on his "Lightning Bolt" live compilation.

I agree the Sydney version was pretty good. I'll have to listen to Melbourne again.

I think they nailed it in Amsterdam 14.. (but I was there, so maybe I'm biased..)
    Yeah, I was there too:

I'm sorry, but this sounds awful. I couldn't even tell the intro was this song - detuned really weirdly...half step maybe? Doesn't sound like a full step or even the same key. Anyway, I just wish the band would stop recording songs in a range that's difficult for Ed to sing, then have to detune so he can sing on tour. Gonna See My Friend is what I consider another great rockin' album opener, but live...ugh.

Wrigley 2018 night two was almost perfect too, just one little flub up on the lyrics, but that's just splitting hairs.

You sure this wasn't Wrigley #1??
I don't see Getaway on  the setlist for night #2.

Again, they still haven’t nailed this. I’m sure they know this, Hence why it’s rarely played.

    Ha, yes night 1.
If memory serves me right weren't you the guy requesting the song for night 2 but got it for night 1? I was hoping for night 2 since I was there and was bummed to see it played but happy that you got it.

It’s a great song and at the time, seemed destined to become a live staple for the LB tour.

Was it for Backspacer or LB they said they wrote songs that would work well live?
