Is it worth the insurance when we trade/sell our PJ treasures?

I posted here because the subject matter is PJ memorabilia related. I wonder if anyone has ever had to file a Postal/UPS/FedEx insurance claim for a PJ related transaction that went to one of our worst nightmares? if so, what happened?
I think it would be pure hell and back to file a claim, and buying insurance for PJ memorabilia over a grand is not cheap. I don't trust the Fing PO, or any of them. They cause me issues.
Appreciate your time,
Densan

I had a poster/tube sent that went missing. I filed a claim and after waiting for the post office to investigate, I received the value I had specified on the form. So yes, always insure.

There is no way you cannot buy the insurance for that much memorabilia. In the unlikely but possible mishap, you'd be sol.

All due respect to people that have to do the manual labor and work through sorting machines and on tarmacs etc, but I've ton this for summer jobs, and the bottomline is, your packages are not handled with tender love and care.

I would always recommend it. I had a poster that was completely destroyed in transportation (probably from a machine sorter). I filed a claim with USPS, which included pictures of the damage, and they gave me the full insured amount without any other follow up. I was surprised how smooth it went.

  • I think I'm the only person in the history of filing claims that didn't get theirs completed.

A record was sent to me and the usps bent it like a taco.  I filed a claim and showed ebay results for the record but they wouldn't accept that...

The PJ community here got together and bought me one.
I'd like to thank all of them again!
