Alternate versions of the songs by the artists. I go first. Paul Stanleys demo of God of Thunder -- before the producer decided to slow it down and have Gene sing it instead:

The man they call my enemy. I've seen his eyes, he looks just like me - A mirror...

Pretty much any Ryan Adams song that ended up on an album later (The demo/early studio version is always better).

Is no one going to post the Immortality alternate?
  • Powderfinger has some awesome demos on a bunch of their singles for a bunch of records - most notably Vulture Street.

  • And a sweet cover of Iron Maiden’s Number of the Beast. *Sorry OP, don’t cuss me out.

I would imagine this is for bands other than PJ, since we're in the "other music" forum.

    REM - Leave (alternate version)
The original is one of my favourite REM songs, and I love this stripped back version

    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

Soundgarden - Fell On Black Days (video version)
I always preferred Chris' vocal on this version

The solo was way different from the album, a little different intro.  Was a black cd case single.   The Unforgiven single.  A demo of unforgiven, not an at take sorry
