I think I  heard a studio version of the song Gone last week on Sirius that was just Ed.  This was not from the AOL sessions. Does anyone know where to find it?

    That might be the version from the 2005 Xmas single.

    There are perhaps a few pro wrestling-type of call outs in this song.  "American Dream" for Dusty Rhodes.  "Money in the Bank" for the WWE PPV.  "Last Ride" for Undertaker's move.  Might be missing more.

    Gone is my fav track from Avacado. I agree that it works best solo. I love the Xmas single version more than the studio.
    Also, the AOL sessions version is pretty good.

    I love this song.   I remember cranking it up when I left the shittiest job I ever had and was on the verge of moving to a different city for a shot at improving my lot in life.

    EV using Townshend's #1 Gibson Les Paul doesn't hurt the sound either. That guitar was tortured by PT many times on Won't Get Fooled Again throughout the 70's, unless of course it's just a copy? I would imagine it's the real one and he also has that awesome Schecter Telecaster that PT gave him. Must be nice to have your biggest idol become such a good friend!!
