RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked The World

Anyone seen this yet?  I've got it on my Netflix queue and can't wait to check it out!  I'm super fortunate to have been able to see Link Wray, Jesse Edwin Davis (with Taj Mahal), Jimi Hendrix and Willie Nelson, all at least part Native American/ First Nations people.  Looks like a great documentary!

Here's the trailer:

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

  • I have seen it, and it's a great doc. The film touches on the influence of Native music on the Blues. Some really interesting stuff in this doc.

The DVD showed up and I watched it this evening.  Fantastic!  Everything I love about rock, blues, jazz-- it's all here.  This is one of the best documentaries about American music I've seen.  Definitely recommended!

Too bad it was on so late.  I rented the DVD on Netflix.  Not sure if it's there for streaming.  Well worth tracking down!
