Things to do in Hermosa, Redondo, Manhattan beaches area of LA?

Will be there for the Chris Cornell show and have a day to hang out. Was hoping to hit the beach but the weathers not looking great. Any nice streets or areas to stroll around in these areas? Any attractions or recommendations in that general area are appreciated.

I'm not sure what there is to do but there but I doubt you'll run into Henry, Greg, Dez, Keith, Chuck D., Chuck B., C'el or Robo any more.  I think those guys have all split to other places these days.
