TEN CLUB - Analog Suggestion Box

So, the single is gone, the shirts are hit and miss and the ticket lottery still comes with Digital. What would make you stick around as Analog?

For me, the top things would be:
1. Access to signed items, perhaps a limited number of posters for each show that could be in a lottery.
2. Access to a meet and greet, again, with a limited number of spots available for each show that could be decided in a lottery.

Literally an hour of the bands time after sound check would go a long way... I would assume those two things would be a lot easier than deciding what to put on a 45 or shirt, than pressing and shipping them. They've never offered signed items or meet and greets to my knowledge, so this would be something new to inject life into being a member.

3. Physical bootleg CD instead of the code (which really should have been a given as soon as they determined two levels). Also, TC doesn't even handle the making/sending so this wouldn't be a new burden on them.

Anyone else have ideas?

So far, here's a few from below that make sense to be a benefit of paying for an analog/physical items fan club membership:

1. Make the ability to purchase the vault release on vinyl exclusive to Analog.
2. Analog members are able to reserve a poster of your choice for a show you've won tickets to.

    More music.

Suggestion 1 doesn't have a lot of appeal to me and I doubt they would ever do it. Suggestion 2 has zero appeal to me and I know they would never do it.

Agree with you on all of this.  For me --> Priority Ticket Sale <-- but honestly, I'll probably remain Analog regardless.

Vault 1 & 2 on vinyl.  And the vault before vaults (vault zero - Live in NYC 12/31/92 hopefully from an analog source) on vinyl, too.  Should always have had option to use digital code as dollars off physical CD; not sure why that option was removed.  PJ Radio makes a big deal about the Plus Ones...put all those on vinyl and go back to annual 7”s.  HockeyTalkter where are you on this?  Analog peeps want vinyl...simple as that (spin, spin; spin the black circle; let the records play).  No t-shirts, luggage tags, or other PJ swag.  Just seems like a real life wall (ode to Pink Floyd) has been placed between the fans and the band or whatever the 10C now represents.  So we’re back to Vitalogy’s track...this (new analog that is not really analog) is not for you (me).

But you get that with digital. I thought this thread was about what would make analog still worth it?

1 free live stream of a show during the tour each year. Of course that would mean they would have to start streaming. But I doubt anyone is against that...

or even better unlimited streams for analog members

I thought that instead of going to a lottery, they should have done ticket sales by seniority to make it worthwhile for people to keep their membership going.  Now since they have stepped into the tiered system, I think we are headed toward much more expensive options.  $20 a year is nothing for ticket access if you go to shows regularly.  If they don't offer something, there isn't much reason for most people to pay the $40.

If they done ticket sales by seniority it would of been mostly pointless for any new people to join the club :(   I've been in the club since '98 and I still feel everyone should have a shot.

It is odd.  The 10c is pretty good at getting a vault vinyl out on time every year.   It makes you wonder what the struggle was with the Christmas single.   I'm not sure they want to sub out the single for something else they have to work on.    Maybe they're going to leave it at a tshirt and a download code.   Of which most people will abandon and go digital only.

Zero interest in physical bootlegs. I can burn my own archival CD-Rs and there's a reason I haven't in nearly a decade.

Now, your choice to reserve one poster from a show you had 10C tickets to...

Analog should give you an access to a gift CD boot for Christmas every year in replacement of the single

  • Analog/Digital suggestion I've taken up before.

Add a fanclub-only show in a smaller place for every tour. In a place people can easily get too.

Change the Vault to Analog only. You want the physical vault, join Analog (along with the shirt and the Boot DL). If you want digital you get a boot DL and a Vault DL. Still make the CD/DL purchase for a Vault available to all.
