I've always been in favor of the Christmas single when it was something I actually wanted to hear more than once rather than just give it one listen and shove in it my box of singles, there to collect dust until I turn to dust.

I like the single but I voted no.  No single means less complaining here which is a good thing.
Not true. I'm still going to "complain", if by "complain" you mean provide consumer feedback to a business that lacks the ability to effectively communicate with their customer base, and fails to deliver on its obligations. This issue with the holiday single is actually not the root issue. It is just symptomatic of the real problem.
Don’t worry... I never believed that you would stop complaining.

I imagine we keep complaining until we received the singles from last year and this year :)

What did I want from an Xmas Single?  My favourites were the ones with new material.  Let Me Sleep, Angel, Sonic Reducer, Happy When I'm crying, Drifin', Soldier of Love, Last Kiss, Don't believe in Christmas.... the list keeps going.  I loved those ones.   Given that we have a lifetime supply of live PJ thanks to 18 years of official bootlegs, I wasn't as enthusiastic for the ones that had some live tracks.

I am going to miss them, but it seemed either the 10c's or PJ's hearts weren't into it anymore.   More like a chore than something they wanted to do.   It was a good run.  I'll miss them, but I'm also ok with them being discontinued.

Half those you mentioned are covers. They have always been cover-heavy with the singles, which is the only aspect of the complaints of recent releases I don't understand.

I never minded the delay, they añways arrived, didn't care about the name, doesn't matter if It was xmas, holiday o annual, nevera cared if It was a cover, a live versión, a live cover, a demo, or even an original song, I voted yes cuz I love 45's, the design of the covers, labels, the big whole in the Middleton, it's Bernabéu a good run, though the only reason to be un the club, haven't been over the forum since march, I had to renew in late november and elapsed did it by mid december, almost miss the tee, band don't come oftenoto Argentina, don't have money to go abroad, as long they keep the vault issues I'm staying, since wax was the only reason I joined...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

I want the final single to be a 30 second jingle about how we should drink more Ovaltine with the B-side being Kars-4-Kids with Boom on lead vocals.

I’m from the camp where this was basically the only reason I was paying for membership. What’s changed is why they stopped doubling up the singles when years were missed - they’ve done that twice way back when. I can’t remember, but did they announce that they’d skip a year but make it up with a double?

They missed 94 and made 95 a double to make up for it. 2001 was also a double and they've done 2 10 inch singles as well

I don't care about a silly Single anymore ... I just want them to come to Australia next year.  It's been FIVE WHOLE YEARS since they were here last.  Thank you!

If they aren't going to give out a single anymore, they should dig into the archive/vault, pick a show and give it to 10 Club members only once a year in either CD or a download, they would have several month to select one.

Probably unrealistic, but this is what I’m hoping they revamp the club towards. More doable than a TMR model IMHO.

Yeah...give analog members the Vault download as part of the package or a discount off the Vault vinyl.

Use the download code for a newer show and get the Vault download as a 10C benefit.
