Forgive me if this has been asked, but how come they never bring fans up on stage? not that they have to or anything, but is there a reason why? Just wondering cuz i see other bands like the Foo Fighters do it

I can’t rememner which show (04-08 range I m guessing) but someone was waving a sign in Ed s face that said “can I play guitar on ritfw with you?” He finally addressed the sign and said something like, “dude it s three fucking chords, give me a break.” I was dying. Lesson learned,I highly doubt they want people on stage with them.

And still they have people on stage with them.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
They brought a couple up once at some show I attended for the guy to propose. Then played just breathe to them on stage.
oh and some guy got on stage at another show (uninvited). He had crutches, and Ed saved him from security, then they sang smile together.
Nashville 2000?
Wrigley 2016
Yes and Yes.. old fucking Andy from bumfuck TN... couldn't count the song off to save his fucking life. poor bastard
I was at both shows......... Also a fan bumrushed the stage in Birmingham 1998 and almost knocked over one of their huge candles. security fucked him up pretty good.

Saskatoon 2011 - They sang “Running back to Saskatoon” Botched it. About 2 songs later, after singing The Fixer, Ed said he wanted to fix Running back to Saskatoon and brought a fan on stage to sing it with him.
Yeah, I guess it would be annoying to bring fans up unless they’re a kid or something. I do know of a video of a kid that Eddie brought up to sing Society with him at the Pilgrimage festival though and that was cool, and I watched more videos of him playing and he’s pretty good
Pretty sure that was about Ed not introducing Jeff.
I still don’t think it was anything at all. I’m just poking fun at the current doom & gloom over the single cancellation. Every little blip on the PJ radar seems to signify the band breaking up, lol.

Now we have a keen look into our current climate as a nation.

They need to remove all the crowd-pandering from the show. Have the power of Neil Young flow through the band. Rock before show.

There was a stage-crasher at Benaroyal...like who bumrushes the stage at a benefit show??
