@deadendp yes I’ve seen Modest Mouse before too and loved them, this tour just really didn’t click as well for me. Sound was also muddled at my show.
At the Akron show, Isaac announced that he had a double ear infection. (My guess is maybe that was why they experienced a string of cancellations.) The sound was cranked up so loud that even my concert earplugs were no match. My ears hummed for days after, and I have worn those same earplugs to many, many concerts with no problem.
All 7 Pearl Jam shows I watched were unbelievable this year. Saying that, my top 3 were a notch better then my bottom 4 with Krakow standing on its own with ease. It was that good. Prague is ahead of the Away shows mainly because of the arena setting and the first set kicked so much ass. The last 3 Away shows can be changed out for one another as they were all equal in my books. Too hard to pick between the 3. Also my two non PJ shows were fantastic as well. Highly recommend both of them if you get the chance especially Elton John since he is not going to be touring anymore.
1. Pearl Jam Krakow 2. Pearl Jam Berlin 3. Pearl Jam Seattle 2 4. Pearl Jam Prague 5a. Pearl Jam Boston 1 5b. Pearl Jam Boston 2 5c. Pearl Jam Wrigley 2
8. Elton John Quebec City 9. Jack White Moncton
I feel that wrigley 2 should be ranked higher since we met up.
Meeting you and your wife was a highlight for sure. Too bad we could not have spent more time together. Glad my wife was able to get close though since that was her only GA of the year. Wrigley 2 was such a great overall experience with the storm and the unknown if the show would even go on. I think it gets the edge on the Boston shows now that I really think about it. What a moment when we ran back into the pit.
Next year we are meeting up again for sure. Just need to do it the night before the show since my wife will be in line early again I imagine lol. Any NJ shows on the horizon you think?
The night before sounds like a plan! Nj hasn’t had a show since 2010 so I remain doubtful. Not sure if we will be traveling for pj next year so fingers crossed for a nyc or philly show.

Love seeing all the love for Jeremy Enigk in this thread! SDRE simply the greatest.
You can't help but to love Jeremy. The living room show was incredible. Honestly, the Detroit show was, too. We saw him on a very crowded stage in a pool hall! (He brought the ROTFQ band with him.)

1. Seattle 2
1. Krakow
2. everything else....
I think I only saw PJ plus Ed at Ohana this year (there also was a bunch of classical music, but I won't bore you with that).
Oh: I saw my son play last week, that was awesome.
Seattle 2 is the embodiment of the "epic" rock concert. We were thoroughly drained and exhausted when it was over, minds truly and fully blown. I can't imagine ever experiencing something like that again. Seattle 2 is pretty high up on my list of life-changing events.
Comparing Seattle 2 to Krakow is an apples and oranges situation. The Europe shows we saw (Prague-Krakow-Berlin) were shorter than the Seattle shows, of course, and they were arena shows.
But Krakow -- if I could have written a setlist for a PJ show, it would look like Krakow. Insane setlist, magical city, killer performance. And I met Matt. :-D So, two very different shows, both special and amazing.
Happy surprise of the year: Johnny Marr totally kicks ass! I had no idea! (Unlike most of my peers, I never was a huge Smiths fan, mostly because I think Morrissey is an annoying #$*&.)

The Detroit show was my favorite... getting to hear Return Of The Frog Queen - front to back was just INCREDIBLE, the full band performing with him made it even more special. The living room show was GREAT... but I had already heard most of the songs from his "Ghosts" record several times by then... so the full album show was refreshing for me!! They were both AWESOME... but Detroit was my favorite!! I'm REALLY hoping there will be a Fire Theft reunion tour since that album is now set for re-release!!

I had a light concert year so it's going to be hard filling out 10:
1) Pearl Jam - Seattle II
2) Pearl Jam - Seattle I
3) Foo Fighters - Vancouver
4) Queens of the Stone Age - Victoria
5) Greta Van Fleet - Toronto II
6) Pennywise - Capital Ballroom - Victoria
7) Soulfly - Upstairs Cabaret - Victoria (kind of cool, because I find this venue sacred, because once upon a time, PJ played it)
8) Loud Love - Tribute to Chris Cornell
That's pretty much every show I remember seeing in 2018. I switched jobs to take a new path, so I'm making less money for a while. I would of liked to have gone to Metallica, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins. It gets expensive taking buying the tickets, taking the ferry to Vancouver, and getting a hotel. Especially because most of these shows were in the summer when hotels are bitching expensive (3 nights in Seattle for PJ was pretty costly).
I've now blown probably my entire concert/travel budget for 2019 to see the Rolling Stones in Houston. Decided to go see them before it's too late. Get to knock the last white whale off my concert list. The ticket probably costs as much as the cumulative total of the 8 shows I listed above
1-David Byrne Forrest Hills 2-Pearl Jam N2 Seattle 3-Thee Oh Sees Brooklyn 4-Radiohead Philly 5- Beck MSG 6-Ghost Portchester 7- Jack White Kings Theatre 8-Slayer/Lamb of God Jones Beach 9-All them WItches/Mastodon/Primus Coney Island 10- Misfits in Jersey
Misfits show fuckin ruled. Throw in suicidal , Murphy’s law and Harley. Epic night
