    You know, no matter who is president I don’t think a president should get more than 1 nominee per term. I’d rather go years with a smaller bench than have 1 president decide 1/3 of the court.

    I tend to agree... but could lead to issues in an 8 year presidency

    You get 2 in 8 years. Doesn’t seem unreasonable. But I do know what you mean. Perhaps should a 3rd seat open the opposition party lead senator gets to pick :)

    I don’t know what the answer is but I’m not sure that a mandatory retirement age is it. I don’t think it’s necessarily a good idea to jettison the knowledge and experience that decades in the profession of law brings.
