Holograms on posters

Can anyone explain to me why some do and some don't have holograms?

Posters the last 3-4 years (I cant recall exactly when from) have the hologram sticker in what I gather is an effort to prove are not counterfeit. The purpose of the No Flippers statement, and a serial number are still at a loss to  me as flipping has never been as ferocious as it is now, and I've never understood what the serials do.
Posters older last 3-4 years wont have a sticker. Therefore if you have a poster from the last 3-4 years with no hologram sticker it could be a forgery (although I'm yet to see an example of one that wouldn't fail immediate inspection).

Do you have a specific example you wish to question

They fall off sometimes or were forgotten to put on.

I peel them all off now anyways.  I know they're real...
