wow story of my life on this one, I just wrote finals and I have been just thinking about what i could have done better and I am worrying about my marks, but then I hear this song, and especially the part where he says

You can spend your time alone redigestin past regrets, or you can come to terms and realize that your the only one that can forgive yourself, it makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

That is SO FRICKEN TRUE I cannot believe it!

Present Tense is easily one of the best PJ songs ever written, at least lyrically. And yes that line is sooo true I think of it on a practically daily basis and find myself scribbling it down in obscure locations all the time.
"Last time I think we played that song here was like, a long time ago, and there was a bonfire in the back and people were like throwing each other into it...very exciting days but a huge fucking relief that that's not how it is tonight..." Ed Irvine Night 1 2003, after Deep

this was the same to me when i was going through a rough time, i couldn't stop forgettign what i fucked up but i listened to this and got through it.

and the fact that mccready added a very nice guitar pitch at the end was cool
