just been listening to it and my god it seems so much slower than the live versions. wonder why they speed up the song when they play it live? just adrenaline i guess...

which speed you guys like better? i used to think the live versions were too fast but now i prefer them!

  • They're both good. I like the live version if i feel like rockin out. Once you get used to one version the other sounds odd but its still all good. I like the "ohhhh" part after the "he chases them away" part, he doesnt usually do that live.

It's surfin dude! The wave just evolves and it seems slow if you're in it, but if you're the one watching the mother is crashing left and right.

I think they play it faster because maybe eddie finds it harder 2 pull some of the words like he did in the early 90's
  • I think the Ten version's really good - after all - it's the way the song was written, but I must admit I like the live version more - my band cover it and it's much more fun to play faster. I think they did it to allow Mike to really bust a bad ass solo!!!!!
Don't give blood, and take it back again.
