Eddie Speech Impediment?

This may be something everyone already has talked about...but does Eddie have a speech impediment. I, personally, think so! When I went to my first PJ concert, I asked my bf what country Eddie is from because he seemed to have a foreign accent. Then, when I watch the dvd's I can clearly see that he has some problem with how his mouth moves to form words. Especially when he tries to use "th" at the end of words. I think that's why so many people have their own take on the lyrics of the songs,(besides the fact that Eddie will change them as he feels the desire). Anyway, I just wondered if anyone knows if I'm correct in what I see and hear. I do think he has an amazing voice and I think the speech thing adds to the mystique of the songs. Thanks...Heather

he semes slow and ponders on words when talking but its got to be the wine..
I must say that im very impressed with his foreign talking on the hunger strike song at the end of the garden DVD
!!!!!!!!! half the time he sings with his teeth clenched together. so that's "tight teethed"?
when i first read the thread subject line, i thought the replies were going to be peppered with:
uhhhhhhhh....
gotta love him. ya just gotta.
He talks like he's from another era for some reason - in a really lovely kind of way.

But, as far as hesitating in his speech, I really believe he is just very thoughtful and mindful of what he says, and he chooses his words very carefully, giving each word the same importance as the last.
But back on the speach impediment topic. I noticed a slight lisp as i was listening to the monkey wrench 98 recording. He had trouble with the "s" sound.
That was the line I used when dating to convince girls they should like fat guys.
