Pearl Jam Fantasy Basketball League 2018-19

I got to join one of the PJ Poster Fantasy Football Leagues from this board this season and it's been fun playing with some like minded PJ fans instead of a bunch of strangers. So I thought I'd put together a basketball league too and see if we can get 10-12 people interested in that. Not everyone is necessarily a big poster collector so I think we'll do something a little different for this one and just play for money to the PJ Shop. We can do a $25-50 entry fee and after the season I'll send gift cards to the winners, say 60% for 1st place, 30% for 2nd, and 10% for third. I've got the league set up through Yahoo with Head-to-Head Weekly Points scoring. Live standard draft on Sunday, October 14th at 7:30 Mountain Time. Season starts on the 16th. Reply here if you're interested and at what price level, $25, $35 or $50. I'll follow up with invites if we can get enough traction to make it run.

I’d be interested!  Seeing that the fantasy bug has bit me a lot this year I’d be in at $25...
  • I'm interested.

I'd like to know how they score before a draft though.

Nice, good start. I misspoke in my original post, I have it set up as Head-to-Head Weekly Category, not Points Scoring. Categories are FG%, FT%, 3 Point Shots Made, Points Scored, Total Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocked Shots and Turnovers.

Cool, I pick the GSW, lol.

But how do you pick players every week?  Is there a draft?

Yes, there's a draft before the season and that's your team for the year. You can make trades and add/drop players throughout.
  • I’m interested if there is room.

Count me in. I need some other reasons to watch since my Timberwolves will be a dumpster fire. Any price is fine.
41 PJ shows from 1995 to 2023...plus 6 EV solo shows.  St. Paul and Austin shows for 2023.

Okay, I just sent out three more invites. If everyone that said they want to play signs up, we're at 9. So we have room for at least 1-3 more. We've settled on a $25 entry fee for the inaugural season and the draft time is set for Sunday evening at 7:30 Mountain Time (9:30 Eastern for those of you that aren't used to converting time zones from CO).

We're up to 11 registered teams...who wants the last spot?? I'll take names for a waitlist too in case anyone bails or doesn't pay before the draft on Sunday.
