What is the best vault release so far?

Curious to hear what people think is the best vault release so far.  I’m really partial to the 7/13/98 vault (#6?).  Those 1998 shows were so tight and with 5 albums under their belts there is plenty of material to keep it fresh night to night.  I would love to see another vault from that year.

My personal rankings for the vinyl releases are:
    la 98
    dc 98
    Soldier field 95
    bellongham 00
    93 show

I'll ride the wave where it takes me......
  • I agree, I am loving the LA Forum 1998 show a ton.  Even more, because I realized when jamming that it is the same show that the Live on Two Legs version of Do The Evolution comes from which is my favorite version of that song so its cool to hear the whole show in full
  • LA 98 for me but I'm biased as this was my first ever PJ show...
  • DC

    Vic
    DC 98
    Seattle 92
    LA 98

The others had already been released in some form and shouldn’t have been a vault release. Stop with the easy choices and release something unique.

The two '98 shows, for sure.

The Soldier Field and Las Vegas shows were great but, as stated above, there were already great sounding copies of them out there and I'm not a vinyl lover (no turntable).

The Vic was pretty cool, as was Moore Theatre - for very different reasons.

I have a hard time appreciating Bellingham and am not that excited about this year's release if only because we already have access to so many shows from those tours.

    Mine too!
I wanted to go to both nights, but I was in high school and my mom would only let me drive through LA once.

That show was a dud.  The band was out of sync, the crowd was dead, the set never got off the ground.   Night 2 made up for it in spades but night one was a train to nowhere.

    Updated vinyl rankings:

    1a. Vault 3 (DC 98)
    1b.  Vault 6 (LA 98)
i cant decide.  Currently blasting DC and it’s such a great performance.  LA is right up there too.  What i love about LA is it was such an unknown show to me and they’re on fire.  I had most 98 shows on cassette but some were awful recordings.  LA was one of them.  That’s what Vaults are all about IMO. Underrated shows seeing the light of day.

    3.  Vault 7 (Soldier Field 95).
    4.  Vault 9 (Seattle 93)
    5.  Vault 5 (Vegas 93)
    6.  Vault 4 (Bellingham 00)
    7.  Vault 8 (Missoula 05)

I’m partial to 7/13/98 but that was the first time I attended a show that was assigned seats when they were using seniority and 10C gave me front row, dead center in front of Ed. 😀

As with a few others, I’m partial to the 98 LA, was my first show too. May be up there anyway, as I like the variety of the 98/00 vaults that the others don’t have from being earlier. Also I was disappointed in the quality of soldier field.
    1 LA 98
    2 DC 98
    3 Bellingham 2000
    Rest could be any order.

I can't imagine Missoula being top of anyones list. It's an enjoyable enough show but it's a odd choice for a vault considering how poor the first few songs are.

The 98 shows are my favourite, then Bellingham, Seattle, Vegas and Solider Field.
  • Missoula made sense since it wasn’t previously available right? I can’t remember! I hope after this No Code show is released, they go back to unreleased stuff.

Missoula is an odd one.  I like the setlist but i wouldn't say they’re on fire.  Either Jeff just really wanted to release a Missoula show or they just really loved the recording quality.
