of course MTV latched on to this to go with their new anti-war movie with Ryan "i cant act" Philippe coming out...since when has MTV cared about what Ed/Pearl Jam or anyone else has done

i just want the war to end so these anti-war people can stop making propaganda movies (DONT TAKE THIS COMMENT LITERALLY!!!!!!!!) i want the war to end for many reasons...

anyone else tired of this?

yeah the war sucks but people are trying to make money off this, i dont want to hear that its causing awareness, because you shouldnt get that from a movie

i know this is borderline moving train, but it relates to No More

That's quite a cynical attitude to take. I'm sure you could use that same logic towards Eddie Vedder himself.

And films should cause awareness. It's a great medium for it.

How about wanting the war to end so that people can stop killing each other or wanting it to end so we stop spending billions of dollars per month that we are borrowing from the Chinese. Jackass

those are reasons i want the war to end...but my comment was directed at the movies being made directly, so dont take my quote so literally as the only reason why i want the war to end....

and no im not a jackass i dont support the Democratic party, but thanks anyway

no one sees those stupid fuckin movies anyway...

people go see movies to remove themselves from reality... no one wants to pay $10 to watch CNN on the big screen for 2 hours...

that being said, the war needs to end for a number of reasons... first and foremost the casualties

  • they've always kinda taken the fake hippy stance on most issues. Its obvious they do it to appeal to the 18-24 demographic, but that doesnt mean something good cant come out of it.

Well, I think we need as much help as possible when it comes to ending this war. We're almost at 4000 US casualties in addition to hundreds of thousands of iraqi and other civilian casualties.

We spend billions and billions of dollars on a war when we have a healthcare system in our own country that is going down the shitter.

People are losing their homes, their jobs, livelihoods, you name it. Social Security will be gone by the time I retire.

The infrastructure in our own nation is crumbling (anyone remember falling bridges??). What will it take for our politicians to get their heads in the right place and start fixing these problems at home?

End the war, fix the problems at home. There is a lot more to running a country than just being strong on national security.

Did you ever stop think that maybe it isn't the Anti-War sentiment that is to blame for the lack of awareness... more like the apathy of U.S. public?
    ...
    Yeah... didn't think so.

i agree... dont really see why everyone took your original post as being so offensive... the fact that they find it necessary to cast 3 "hot" dudes in that stop-loss really proves they arent concerned with the message... theres probably gonna be topless topgun-eque volleyball scenes galore!
