which do you think is worst pj concert

    the one where eddie got sick and neil young took the stage... i wasn't there.... i was 12..... but i remember the angry letters rolling stone magazine got from fans over this concert.... this was the beginning of pearl jam's backlash.....

    Yeah, that was probably the worst one for the band. In the "Ten Past Ten" Spin article, they talk about how awful that was and how they thought there was going to be a riot.

    I've listened to the part of that show where Eddie was on stage...he makes a great effort but you can tell there's something very wrong.

    i was at that show too, it was a train wreck, you could tell ed was pretty miserable. i thought there was gonna be a riot as well, it was really hot out so people were already irritated from that i think.

    I do love all Pj shows. But between the past and now. I think with the lights they use now and other elements, that the shows are getting better.

    In the past they really didn't use the cool lights and things. It was just them with a back drop that would change colors and five candles.

    I know its all about the music and thats what I love, but there is nothing like a cool rock show with badass lights.

    ate a bad tuna sandwich at the hotel i think....i've had food poisoning a couple weeks ago, i can't imagine standing out on stage doing ANYTHING in that state!

    You still checking huh? Leaving was the best thing I did. I wasn't until my wife had the baby did I realize this place is a waste of time. There's a real world out here! Hey, I have a family! Juggling the two worlds clouds your vision. Once it has a hold on you, it's hard to escape.

    If there's one last thing I can give you is this.

    Go home to your loved ones. Every minutes spent here is a minute stolen from your kids. And when their in bed. Check out the world around you. The Summer night, the stars or whatever.

    If you get right down to it, all you're doing is watching a motionless screen and exercising your fingers. The long term can drive you mad. So while you still have a chance....

    Yeah, I read that it was a bad tuna sandwich too. I also read somewhere that he had come from the hospital to perform at that show. And the result was stupid shit with pissed off people putting ads about "Pearl Scam" in newspapers and setting up numbers to call, and the next couple of shows being forced to cancel because of "security concerns". :rolleyes:

    yeah i remember all that, there were rumors running rampant that ed had OD'd or was just too fucked up to play. i heard the same that he came straight from the hospital, had been up all nite puking his guts out, and that they took him right back to the hospital after he got off stage. the radio stations talked SO much shit about the whole thing.

    they did make up for it though at spartan later that year, that was an awesome show - my first "full" PJ experience :)

    well the worst would obviously have to be the one in Denmark where the 9 people died....

    it was Denmark wasn't it?
