Fenway 1 Turf Seating Suggestions

My wife, son and I are heading to Fenway night 1. It is my sons first PJ show and he is 11. We have 2 tix in turf A3 (good) and 2 in turf B1 (not as good). What are the chances of the 3 of us being able to sit in the A3 section? I would hate to be separated but Ten Club only offered groups of 2.

Before anyone asks, the 4th ticket is spoken for.

    Probably be ok if he’s right with you (maybe in front of you.) we tried to fit an extra in our row in turf seating in 2016 and they caught us and made him move within minutes. Seats were super tight and they were policing people standing in the aisle

    If the most important thing is to sit together I’m sure your neighbors in b1 will move to a3 so you have 4 together. 
    Other way around won’t happen, and squeezing in isn’t cool

    I agree, squeezing in isn't cool. Have had people try before near me and is very upsetting to me. Kind of a pet peeve of mine and I will speak my mind

    The seating all over fenway is tight enough without extra people trying to squeeze in.

    Agreed, this is the only decent way to do what you're trying to do.

    Those seats are as tight as could be, trying to squeeze a third person into your two seats is a dick move regardless of whether it's your kid or not; if you try it, expect problems.

    I went back and read this again....gonna give the OP the benefit of the doubt.

    That being stated -- if you got 10C seats (congrats) you knew from the jump it was a 2 seat option, only.
    If you cannot swap and stay in B1 (guessing no way someone is gonna swap with you from A to B unless you cash whip them) just determine which one of you will stay with the young fellow and which one goes with your 4th seat ticket buddy.

    I would feel badly about it but if you tried to squeeze next to me to fulfill your own agenda I would speak up.  This is not a case of you being split up....

    Hope it works out and the three of you can find a (proper) way to sit together and enjoy.

    Thanks for the tips. A trade back to B1 was my plan but hate to miss out on the prime A3 seats.

    You could always do what we did last time and just change back and forth a few times. Dad + kid start up front > Meet mom in middle > Mom and kid up front > etc...
    Would mean no time all together, but you'd each get a taste and spend time with the little one

    Maybe you'll end up on an isle and it won't matter if there's an extra person.

    It will really all depend on if everyone in the row shows up, how strict Fenway is about keeping isles clear, etc. In Seattle we were in the equivalent of A3 and there were a ton of VIP seats for people who never showed up. Other people had moved to sit with there friends, or GA or whatever... there was always room.

    Are you guys serious about being bugged about squeezing in an 11 year old kid?  I thought this was a Pearl Jam concert, not the Boston Pops...

    Also Relish, you'd be insane to give up those A3 seats.  Don't do it and if you can't get all three of you up there, do as some have suggested and split time between the A and B.  I'm in C3 and I'd give my left nut to be up there.

    Don't squeeze in. The people around you will thank you for it. I'll speak for them now. Don't do it. It's ridiculous. Just don't do it.

    No way you can squeeze in an extra. Those seats are TINY. Barely enough room for everyone already there. And Fenway is suuuuper strict about checking tix for seat locations. Multiple staff at every section and all along the aisles on the Turf.

    I’d go with the switching off thing as suggested. Give the kiddo an amazing experience of being right up front.

    I would try the squeeze first...  It's an 11 year old, not a 6'3" frat boy...   At Wrigley we actually had 4 empty seats in our row on the field, granted not down front like A3 will be, but there will be plenty of squeezers...  

    Last time PJ played the Hartford meadows I had my 2 10C tickets in section 700 and then managed to pull 3rd row center section 200 (on the end of the row on Mike's side) from ticketmaster as the fan club sold in pairs but there were an odd number of seats in some of the rows.  Yeah, very lucky.  My buddy, my son and I rotated into the single seat every five songs...  It was awesome.

    At Fenway 2016 N1, security was tight about this.  Saw them move half a family back to their other spots.

    We took my 12 year old nephew to his first Pearl Jam show on N1 of the Home Shows and he loved it! If the show tonight is anything like N1 in Seattle it'll be about 3 hours long, so if you swap your party between seats midway through the show, you'll still have plenty of show to see after the swap. Have fun and let us know how it all turns out, because now I'm curious.

    We ended up swapping at the first encore. My son loved the show. The row in front and behind us made it rather difficult. In front they crammed in an additional family member that pushed the group of seats back. Just what you all said we shouldn't do. Now I understand why . They even held an really young child/infant, which was a bit odd. Row behind us pushed our seats way forward. Between the two rows there was no room to move. 

    Otherwise it was a great show.
