EV was having some difficulty with his guitar early and had to check with a tech who was located behind mike... maybe that was the "glares"?
This is a good explanation for the glares. Ed was obviously not happy with his guitar and from where I was sitting in the 131 section it sounded like it was coming in and out or not clear to clear at times when it shouldn’t have. I could be wrong though, just my perception.
Didn't notice anything else out of the ordinary until the end of the night when Stone left the stage before everyone and they all posed for photos without him.

Great time, great weekend. 7th show, first in GA. As mentioned earlier, I missed the alleged anymosity, but had better site lines of ed, Jeff, and Mike than Stone. But as mentioned earlier, def noticed Ed's lines on DTE mixed up, and some early mix ups on Even Flow. Small potatoes though, left both nights just being thankful and hoping we can keep seeing them perform at or near this level for years to come.

I hope this doesn't turn into Baltimore again. Lots of people speculating that Jeff was mad at Ed, etc, all because Ed forgot to mention his name and Jeff bolted off the stage at the end. Turned out to be absolutely nothing but people all gotta throw their "I thinks" in.

Maybe Stone had to rush off to use the bathroom..........they did have one less encore break last night, right?

Yes, Ed asked them to just stay on stage because of the curfew
Such a fun weekend! Last night was phenomenal. All of my crew (13 of us) thought the band look d like they were having a great time so I don’t know what people are talking about with the stupid “band was pissed at ed” stuff.
Was a great show to periscope besides the brawl the scoper got involved in during MYM, of all songs . I wasn't there, but they didn't seem as tight musically, which may have been due to the weather. There were miscues on lyrics and guitars, but nothing major. That said GTF sounded the best I have ever heard, especially to open the show. Ed was dead on. Ed also seemed to have forgotten or drifted off during Evenflow, but if I wasn't mistaken it sounded like the old school start and even a bit of a yell from Ed at the beginning, maybe that was just a fan though. The solo killed as usual.
Ed messed up during Evenflow, but as he was waiting for the right time to start singing again, he did a quick Opera Man verse, that was pretty awesome...

With all due respect, on exactly what do you base your conclusion that that situation "turned out to be absolutely nothing"??
By Baltimore I was at my 54th ish show, most of them from very close to right in front, and there was NO question that something was up and there was serious heat AND shade being thrown from Jeff to Ed that night, no doubt for a very real reason. Everyone around me was like "Whoa, what's going on between them??!".
Now, basically at this point those guys are probably just as much family to each other as their own families, and sometimes siblings get into it, so I don't think anyone thought it was the end of the world or the band was about to break up. But the tension was unmistakable.
Was it all better by Charlottesville? Certainly seemed so. But in Baltimore there was a LOT of heat there (possibly from before Ed forgot to introduce Jeff) and if you saw the way Jeff exited the stage at the end, I don't know how you could think nothing was wrong.
So I'm very curious, on what do you base your statement that "it turned out to be absolutely nothing"? According to who or what?

This was 2nd best show for me behind Grand Rapids 04. The whole night was perfect and the rain just added to the magic. Thank You PJ.

I love walking around Wrigleyville when it's overrun with PJ fans.
After they cleared the field, and it really poured for a bit. I was talking to some friends and missed all the best lightning strikes (there were a few that lit up the sky). In 2013 Ed asked something like, 'You trust me on this?' Well we trust him, and they were right to take those measures once again.
I can't help but think of the people who were in the GA line outside for hours and hours, only to lose the spot they worked for on the re-entry.
Once they came on, holy shit. They were firing on all cylinders. The crowd was so into it. It was such a supercharged first set I was worried they were not going to be allowed to extend the curfew. Glad that was not the case.
Loved the setlist. Evil Little Goat was fun as hell. Immortality seemed to provoke an emotional response from the crowd - it was beautiful. U was awesome. Last Exit, Leash, In My Tree... Everything was just stellar. It was high energy all night long.
Ed bashing the shit out of the telecaster as they closed was like a release.
One quick bitch: I could not believe how many people, with Ed calling out the members of the band one by one and thanking us for sticking it out, just turned and started meandering towards the exits. Couldn't even be bothered to make any fucking noise for these guys. The entitlement of that attitude pisses me off. They don't have to do this for us, you know? The least you could do is fucking clap. Fuck.
In My Tree into Immortality into Daughter was amazing. Now that might not look great but taht version of daughter is only topped by the one at the Gorge in 06 (I believe). That daughter is the best I will ever hear. Still liked Night 1 better but man did they bring it! Throw Your Hatred Down rocked way more than I thought it would. And U sounded as if they played it all the time.

Ed yelled at Stone a couple of times. He pointed for him to move up on the stage once. Stone acted like he had no desire to be on stage most of the show. He showed emotion once and that was when Danny played the harmonica for a bit. Stone cracked a smile then. He clearly left the stage early and had no desire to be in the pic. Plenty of people on Stone's side noticed the back and forth all night along with a lot of tension between the two.

Amazing how much honor and respect 10C members have for each other - EXCEPT when entering GA after a delay. 2013 was not cool, and last night was worse. Those people running should be ashamed. You know who you are.
I can't help but think of the people who were in the GA line outside for hours and hours, only to lose the spot they worked for on the re-entry.
I certainly hope they all at least got close to where they were before the field was cleared. Figure they were last off the field, first on? There should be a special waiting area for the first three or so rows of GA.
Anyway, I didn't pick up on any tension between Ed and Stone (or anyone else on stage, for that matter). But I have to say, Stone killed it again last night. The man is a hell of a musician. Has he made a conscious effort to step up his game when he's playing the lead parts?

I completely believe this. I just wrote this on someone else's comment on this thread referencing Baltimore '13 and tension between Ed and Jeff: "Now, basically at this point those guys are probably just as much family to each other as their own families, and sometimes siblings get into it, so I don't think anyone thought it was the end of the world or the band was about to break up. But the tension was unmistakable."
It's such a miracle these guys are still killing it live at this stage and after this many years together, and still even a band together, it is INEVITABLE with humans that once in awhile someone will get on someone else's nerves or something will be amiss. Not the end of the world, mostly none of our business, but there's no way it doesn't happen. Sounds like maybe it happened last night, but kudos to Stone and Ed who each may have had reasons to be grumpy but for being professional and bringing it and sticking it out... at least until right before the group photo
Regardless of the tension, thanks to whoever was streaming from the second row about dead center last night. I was watching from about halfway through to the end.

lol. This was my first thought as well. No one knows. Its all speculation.
Stone was probably just cranky because it was past his bedtime and he missed Matlock.
