>>>The Bring Back Garden Thread<<<

she don't wander in...don't wander in here, she...
she don't wander in here...don't wander in here...
the direction of the eye, so misleading
the defection of the soul, nauseously quick
i don't question, our existence
i just question, our modern needs

I'm listening to the Milan 00 version right now. So beautiful...

i will walk...with my hands bound
i will walk...with my face blood
i will walk...with my shadow flag

  • i didnt realize untill last month that riot act has loads of songs on live at the garden. I kept saying to myself i know this song and found myself singing to songs that i didnt know but now i realize my mistake.

Oh please..... let it rain today,
    this city.... so filthy,
    like my mind in ways.
Fuck me if i say somthing you dont want to hear,
Fuck me if you only hear whats in your head.
Fuck me if you can, coz im not leaving here.

really great song! together with porch and oceans my first favorites of ten.. on the zurich 92 boot ed sings:" i just question goerge bush" funny to hear that 12 years later and it still being accurate.

mikes guitar work on the song is amazing

I agree 100% but the quality on the remixed Milan 00 boot is brilliant compared to the older boots.

  • garden is probably my all time fav.... but what the hell is it about? vampires? goth chicks? maybe a mamasan referance? I have always loved the strong usage of metaphors like:

    face blood
    shadow flag
    garden of stone

they are all much like Chris Cornells' paradigmic style of lyrics.

    just noticed alternative lyrics:
    i dont question ........?
all the questions.. for our modern needs..

indeed this version is excellent.. they take their time.. almost 6 minutes! great guitar work.. thanks for the pointer!

    its really an amazing song...
specially the part the main chorus thing in the beggining with heavy guitars

I will walk...with my hands bound
I will walk...with my face blood
I will walk...with my shadow flag
Into your garden, garden of stone...yeah.....

simply takes the song to a new level....PJ is so good at doing that...

ahhhh, brings back memories. that was my favorite pj song when there was only TEN. one of those songs that makes you feel happy and sad, clean and dirty, hard to explain. haunting, familiar yet i can seem to place it

    thats a good song :D
So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
    That is why I'm singing
  • I can't get enough of this tune...It one of their most beautiful songs.
