When did manners become obsolete?

Just sold a "fan" one of my eighth row tickets for Boston and didn't get a thank you. I thanked her for payment...twice. Maybe she will thank me in person.

1. The very vast majority of 10c fans are the tops. Friendly, considerate, we’ll-mannered, easy to talk to, charming, humorous, etc. Examples: fans buying my Hawaiian shirt-clad dad beers because he brought me, who was fourteen at the time, to his first PJ show (9/5/2000).
Also, I had spare lawn seats for night 2 of PJ20, and I knew I wasn’t going to get much for them, so I offered a case of beer for the tickets. The fella that bought them from me gave me a case of beer and hosted me at his tailgate.
2. There is a very minuscule part of this community that is only out there for themselves. Example: I had an extra ticket to the 2008 DC show. A fellow 10c fan asked to buy it, saw where my seats were, scoffed, and tossed the ticket back to at me, which fell to the ground.
So yeah, some people lack common courtesy, but most are excellent examples of what human beings are and how they should act.

I was originally going to sell the ticket here and now I really wish I had. Not just because I'm not being thanked but because I really wanted the ticket to go to someone who would genuinely appreciate it and the value of it, if that makes sense.

The person you sold to sounds like they don't at all. Which is a bummer. But you'll be 8th row, so you'll have other fantastic things to distract you and cheer you up...
