8/18 & 8/19: Chicago Air & Water Show

Saturday & Sunday Chicago has it's 60th annual Air & Water show along the lake (primary spot being North Avenue Beach). You'll see the jets and planes fly all around the city (even at Wrigley I'm sure). It will be VERY crowded on the beaches and expect some extra traffic. The Air & Water show start at 10am and go until 3pm. That leaves just enough time to get to Wrigley on Saturday to watch "Let's Play Two" on the big screen outside of Wrigley at 3:30pm for free! Talk about an incredible weekend!

    They'll be practicing Thursday & Friday as well.

    The "water" part is only visible if you happen to get a good spot on Oak St or North Ave Beach.  The "air" part is great and you can see it for miles ... i recommend Fullerton or Diversey.
