Middle Brother, the Nirvana + Meat Puppets collab that never was

Just listening to Nirvana Unplugged this morning and those MP covers man, god so good. Made me think if Kurt had lived what a proper Nirvana + Meat Puppets collaboration would have been like. Then I got to thinking, Middle Brother has a pretty close vibe to it in my opinion. What do you all think?

Love me some Middle Brother (it got me into Delta Spirit, Matthew Logan Vasquez solo stuff, and the Dawes. For whatever reason, I've never really given Deer Tick a listen.

I forgot that Deer Tick once did a show at SXSW I think, calling themselves Deer-vana and playing all Nirvana covers.

The one Middle Brother album is really good. The main projects of the members are pretty lackluster.

Deer Tick has around 30 really good songs, imo.  They're just spread out over a bunch of albums.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
