Benaroya: What do you like best?

LightYearLightYear Posts: 41
Yes, I know. They're all great in their own way. However, in my humble opinion the end of the show brought the house down:

Masters of War - Black - Crazy Mary - 25 Minutes to Go - Daughter - Yellow Ledbetter

I'll drive around until the CD's over once Masters of War starts.

I also thought Thin Air, Immortality and Down were really cool. I need to stop before I list every song...

I'll Ride The Wave Where It Takes Me
  • yes, it's hard to pick. but if i only want to hear a couple of songs before i leave the house or something, i would go with man of the hour/immortality from side one. and can't keep/deadman from side 2. and black if i'm still brushing my teeth. :)
...caught a bolt of lightning, cursed the day he let it go...
  • I cant stop listenin to Masters of War
    Don't need a raincoat, I'm already wet..
  • For me it's the beginning
Of The Girl --> Low Light --> Thumbing My Way

still get chills everytime i listen to lowlight
makes much more sense to live in the present tense
  • Black....when the crowd sings the ending when i heard that the first time i got terrible chills and smiled like a fool throughout it. Somthing about the crowd and band connecting just gets to me.
  • I believe in miracles! Unbelievable acoustic version! Pearl Jam never cease to amaze me with how good their covers are.

  • For me the standout tracks were

Fatal/LowLight/Around the Bend/Deadman/Off He Goes mainly cause they were not played much on that tour so good to hear them

    25 Minutes To Go
    Man Of The Hour
    I Believe In Miracles
So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
    That is why I'm singing

  • I still can't get over how amazing crazy mary and black are.

I never realised what a real find Boom was until I heard him on CM. He is absolutely stunning. I wonder if he came up with that ending himself or how much the others had input into it?

And mike? What can I say about his talent that is original and new? I can't, but he is a God.

  • I love Low Light.

I really love I Believe in Miracles.

Down is awesome and Immortality, too.

But I have to say I agree with you guys about the part from Masters of War until the end. I sometimes play the whole show on my ipod before I go to bed and I've found that if I'm still awake at Masters, then there's no chance of sleep for quite a while 'cause by the time I finish hearing Yellow Ledbetter I'm way too excited to sleep! BTW does anybody know if Ed actually knows the lyrics for that song? Or if there really are lyrics? Just wondering, but it still rocks, maybe because of all the mumbling!

The whole show was great and all you guys who got to see it in person, well, I guess you know how lucky you were!
And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles, Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one...

The end of the show fucking rules, but nothing as it Seems and Low Light are deadly too. And I love Thin Air when they fuck up and Ed is all like "there's no way we were getting away with that one"
