Vitalogy as winter music

  • I can listen to it any time, but the album makes me think of winter. It came out in December when I was in 10th grade, and I remember my aunt bought it for me a few weeks later, the day before the Super Bowl. Through a set of circumstances, I was not able to listen to it that day. The next day, I was at my aunt's house for a Super Bowl party and I was a little anxious for the game to end so I could get home and give it a spin.

Then, that night, I put it in my cd player and I will never forget how "Tremor Christ" sounded for the first time. I was blown away.

Vitalogy will always make me think of the winter months of tenth grade, and inversley, when I think of 10th grade, songs like "Nothingman" and "Tremor Chirst" play in my mind.
    I love my female wife...
we sit around and wonder exactly why our marriage should feel threatened by gay marriage
  • vitology is dark and deep
winter is dark and deep enough
rather listen to something to lift my spirits at this time of year

    by the way......happy winter
  • I just moved into my own place by myself in the middle of nowhere (NEWMAN LAKE, WA). I went to the CD release at hastings and won a free Vitalogy CD. I had no TV and I Lived in a brand new apartment on the side of a Airplane hanger and I would get high and listen to this CD for hours at an alarming volume. this is also around the time of our Ice storm and I had the only power in a 50 mile radious and I would have this album blasting and people would see my lights on and stop and ask how I have power. GREAT, GREAT Winter. I have always connected this album to winter. Which is funny cause I hate Winter.
but love this album. Not my Favorite but it has its place in my heart.

Good stuff. Because of reading this thread at work earlier today, I put in Vitalogy for an entire playing for the first time since the 90's. Much better than I remembered!
Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?
