Clark Street will be closed from Addison to probably around Roscoe so stay clear around that area. Driving will suck for 30-60 mins after the concert. You might consider going to a local establishment for about an hour to let things clear up. Clark will be a zoo. If you go about a mile west to Southport the restaurants and bars should not be so bad.

Chinatown has a decent sized lot and it's far enough away (about 35 min on the train) to not be overcrowded. just note that it is south of Wrigley so if you are heading North after the show it's probably not your best option.
There is a parking garage across the street from the Vic Theatre (about 1/2 mile from Wrigley) on Sheffield Ave. My guess is that you'll pay $20+ to park there (on Cubs game days I believe it is $20) but it's an easy walk and there are several bars to hit on the way. You'll probably want to get there early if you plan on parking there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be headed out to Oakbrook/Downer's Grove
I always just use spot hero. There are usually some decent garages around if you dont mind a walk. I had $30 parking by the best western on Broadway for the Foo Fighters show a couple weeks ago. Parking on Addison a few blocks away for the PJ shows for like $40

Hey - looks like Forest park (blue line) has parking lots? So I could drive there...park...take blue line downtown and transfer to red line right? I've been to chicago a bunch but either driven or stayed downtown....so want to make sure I am picking a good option for a new scenario.

It would probably work for you if you are going that way. Chinatown is right off the Dan Ryan so you could jump on that and get off on the 290 to head to Oakbrook.

Yes but it will be a long commute for u. I’ve done it many times as I live in the burbs. You staying in the suburbs?

Yes, for this trip way out in the burbs. Going to hit breweries not in downtown on the off day, so made more sense to save some $. Downer's grove.
Thanks for all the suggestions....I'll write em down and make a choice sometime. My other option I was debating was spot hero downtown area...just walk to redline for wrigley and then redline back to downtown and drive out from there. Didn;t know if that was better than driving to a Metro with parking spots. Are they safe parking places? Howard...Chinatown...Forest park?
I am staying in the Chinatown district again this year at the South Loop Hotel. In 2016 we stayed at Mcormick place and got on the redline at the cermak station (Chinatown). We felt safe walking back to the hotel after the show. From that experience I saw the parking lot right under the station at Cermak and it seems well lit and easy to access.

Go to Noon Whistle Brewery. Close to Downers Grove.
Scored a ParkWhiz 1/2 mile south for $25. 3 pm to 1 am
Nicely done. Not sure what's available at this point but highly recommend Park Whiz. Booked my spot 1/2 mile away back in January for $10 lol.
