go with the flow. FEEEEEEL the music.
too much pressure misses the point
"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone
"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
Wouldn't it be great if Pearl Jam published a book like this one (U2) http://www.simplyirish.com/prodView.asp?idproduct=1578
Its got all the lyrics to EVERY song plus music (lyrics in the front, songs in alphabetical order, then music in the back).
Great reference book -- a Pearl Jam one would be stellar!
"Love is a tower of strength to me"
"I wait up in the dark, for you to speak to me"
"I'll ride the wave where it takes me"
"I did what I had to do, if there was a reason, it was you"
"I hold the hand that holds me down... I will RISE ABOVE!"
"Shit, solo or something"~ Eddie Vedder
"The best way to change something that's around you, something you don't like, is to change yourself. And I don't think you want other people changing you, I think the only person that can change you is yourself. So if you ain't happy, if you're reading magazines about generation x-ers and thinking 'yeah, I'm one of them', well fuck that. Don't let anyone tell you who you are. No, no. No one can tell me who I am."~ Eddie Vedder (9/26/96)
now i can't remember anything anymore. not phone numbers, or what i had for breakfast, or what day it is.
when i've spoken with my doctor about my concerns because this can be a side effect of a drug i'm taking, she always asks if there's anything else of substance in my life i CAN remember.
and i can remember the words to every single pearl jam song (better than ed, it seems. heh).
so pearl jam is an indicator of whether or not my brain is being damaged. or whether it's functioning ok. i guess i'm ok
