Missoula bound

About to head out to Missoula via Charlotte, NC and the excitement is building and building.  We, Katie and I, longtime Pearl Jam fans, were so very fortunate to catch the Greenville (4.16.06) show, a Record Store Day to end all Record Store Day performances--Vs. in its entirety, are you kidding me, Tuna!?

A lot of life packed into a compact, compact car, and the anxious hope of something monumental, palpable, even transcendent.  For us, that is a Pearl Jam show--from the 1st one in Charlotte on 10.4.96, to another stop in the Queen City 4 years later (the gig just after Virginia Beach)--we felt loss, hope, and what it means to trust in the present moment apart from the harsh reality that can be the past.

No one song, no one request, but 'Thin Air' comes back to us, personally and intimately as we celebrate 9 years of marriage this past July 11th.

Thanks Pearl Jam for all the precious moments, memories, and the way you continue to reach our hearts, minds, and spirits, through the thinnest of air.
