firstly, i too have wondered about the connection between yield being seen as the best album and the only album with a studio sessions vid, i never thought this was coincidence.....
secondly, i was running yesterday listening to yield and pilate came on, and irealized i was still confused about it after 8 years,
then i see your thread and given some great insight, thanks.
ed might change the line to "i dont need the light" cause it fits in with his whole persona of not wanting the spot light, see p.r.i.v.a.c.y.. it may have nothing to do with hope in eds mind...just a thought..
lowlight at the gorge was outstanding,it made the song for me.!
