    Off topic, but in the 1980s, Minneapolis had two main top-40 stations. One, KDWB, is still around. The other went away in the 1990s at some point. It was WLOL. And some people actually just called it LOL (before those letters meant what they do now...)

    Yes.  Nothing he has done has lowered that number.  Nothing.  That 40% does not think he can do any wrong.  That might be a critical mass (particularly in the only country with a voting system that inflates the votes of those in that 40%) to move in the direction of authoritarianism.  

    We were complacent that Trump would lose.  He won.  We were complacent that he'd get impeached/removed/resign. Looks unlikley.  And the left that I see?  Complacent that he'll lose.  You think 15% think he's god and will follow him to authoritarianism?  Complacent that "it can't happen here."  I think that brand of complacency is dangerous.  It's starting to happen here and the party in power is OK with it.
