Hey Everyone! Does anyone know if there is an opening band for the Aug 8/10 shows? Also, what time does it all begin?

Thanks!

My 10C ticket say 700pm, but it says 730pm on Ticketmaster.  The band will likely make an announcement that everyone should be in by a certain time and then start a few minutes after that.  I remember that happening for Fenway2, I think.  Given the noise curfew that some people mentioned, I can't imagine them starting much later than 745pm.

I feel like in Boston a Chicago 2016 they typically said 7:45 but came on closer to 8:30. Do I remember that correctly? If anyone has a sharper memory, please let us know.

They said 7:00 but was more like 7:40 and 7:35 for night 1 and 2 at Fenway.

Also Safeco has not had many concerts but they are notorious for long wait times with security. With Mccartney and Petty people that lined up at 7:15 did not get in until 8:45. Get there early people. Quicker you get in your seats the quicker the band gets on stage the longer the set will be. I wish 10 club and Ticketmaster tickets said the same time. People are going to see the 7:30pm Ticketmaster time and drag their feet.

Thanks for the update! And yeah, that's so true. I went to Jays/Mariners last year and the lines were horrendous. Would have been an hour plus wait, but my wife was 8 mos pregnant, so they came and took us out of the line and into a quick access one. Was really nice of them.

Has there been any official clarification on whether the set time is 7:00 or 7:30?

This is kinda of crazy.  So we might need to just hover around the entrances and watch the entry lines or sit in the stadium for hours or risk missing the first note?  Ugh.

Hopefully Safeco has their act together.  I know security is importance, but you need to be able to be fast and efficient at the same time.

Just get in there early and find a spot to hang out. With shows this size attempting to time getting to your seat 10-15 minutes before the music starts is a real gamble.
  • Friend who works at Safeco as a usher/host told me last night they were informed showtime 8-11.

Think I read it's 10pm, but you can apply for an extension.

Gotta use some common sense here though. If you make a mad rush to get in right before the scheduled show time then, of course its going to be bad. Thats the same for any event. There are six entrances to Safeco. The main two are the glove and homeplate those always take the longest. The center field entrances are generally less crowded. Go a little early.
