Gwen's leave ends, and she carries a few rips
in her veiled hat that slipped drunk as she sipped 
wine (unknown), ate cheese (unknown), on her trip
away from torn boys, sewn boys with breath stripped. 

Schedules of surgery ignore curfew,
but those in charge hold the needle to sew
what the knife deemed acceptable. The shrew 
candle light walks down knives of blooded hue.

An ambulance parks with Jess at the wheel.
She transports a soldier to Gwen's table,
but close fighting rocks tent poles unstable,
whistles and explosions shock clocks disabled. 

Prioritize men with stomachs open,
Gwen looks down (Gasping!) her stomach's open.
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous

    Thank you vogonpoetbythelake. There may be 25ish more stories about the hat with the veil. It's a project that may last until Labor Day-ish.
