I only know his singles but have followed him for a long time on Twitter. I don’t think there’s any denying his songwriting chops, he just came around when overproducing those songs in the studio and wacky style was in. Can’t fault him for timing.

i love that song.  never new that the Eagles had something to do with it, but it totally makes sense.
