Absolutely wonderful, after Leo Tolstoy's novel. Probably will read the book now, when I have seen this. However, have to say, I don't like the ending.

    If you do read it, take the time to find the recent translation by Pevear and Volokhonsky. It will make a world of difference in your experience of the book.
