This is my absolutly fav. song. This song stood out amoungest all thee others when I heard this song, it just moved me in such a way. Than I watched the D.V.D when they girl signs to the whole song and dances on stage with ed...uhhh this made my heart skip and now everytime I listen...my heart pitter patters in a undescribable way...
I wish I was the verb to trust, and never let you down...

have you ever read Jonathan Livingston Seagul? Its a very beautiful book written by Richard Bach, and Given to Fly reminds me a lot of that book... a must-read

It always speaks to me really clearly, one of my new recent favourites!

I used to love the Perth version from the tour last year, and then i heard the Toronto version and it became my new favourite! Absolutely mind-blowing performance of an already fantastic song. When i listen to it i'm transported to another world high up in the heavens, and i really do feel like i'm flying. It brings me such a wonderful feeling of relaxation, enlightenment, freedom. If only life could feel like that all the time.
I love the way it starts off fairly quiet and builds and builds to an unstoppable climax....."A wave came crashing like a fist to your jaw...", at that point it really does feel like a huge wave just came crashing. It's so damn powerful!!!
"First he was stripped, then he was stabbed by faceless men, well fuckers...he still stands". I just LOVE how Eddie sings that one.
