what does it mean 'sucker love'?

i know it doesn't have anything to do with PJ, but if anyone can help me with the meaning of 'sucker love', i would appreciate it.
i'm not a native english speaker, so i don't get it.

    I assume you're referring to the line "sucker love is heaven sent/you pucker up our passion's spent" from Placebo's "Every You Every Me". Everyone has their own interpretation, I think 'sucker love' means pretending to love someone but really you're just sexually attracted to them and have no emotional connection. That's my interpretation.
