I would like to hear the old Motown "Leaving Here" live. A song I would like to hear them cover would be (since they have a keyboard player now) would be Thunder and Lightning by Thin Lizzy.
You've changed your place in this world!
  • "Forever in blue jeans" , again. The Soldiers Field version is too short.
Clear eyes, Full hearts, CAN'T LOSE!
  • People have the Power and Baba O'Riley for me...and I would love to hear them cover Revolution
Please don't smoke in smoke free buildings. You aren't cool, you're just an asshole
  • I loved the one time they did "Let My Love Open the Door"-Chicao 95 I beleive.

Neil Young "the ocean"? that would be cool.
Pearl Jam, Neil Young, Mike Watt, fugazi, Geraldine Fibbers, The Who, Mudhoney, The Evens
.... These are a few of my favorite things
  • Right now, given that it's what I've been listening to the most, I'd have to say their live cover of John Lennon's "Give Us Some Truth" is simply amazing..... they take a great activist song and make it their own, from Eddie's great vocals to Stone and the guys jammin'....it's great.
  • I would like to hear them do something by U2.....maybe "sunday Bloody sunday".

    I love WPB "patriot".

    covers I love:

    *throw your arms around me
    *I got you
    *baba 'o riley
    *Stuff & Nonsence
    ...........................plus many more.

I really like Ed's version of Hide Your Love Away and I think to song below would sound great coming from his mouth. It's an oldie but a goodie! If you've heard it before you'll probably agree with me!

    Sunshine

    Sunshine go away today,
I don't feel much like dancin'
Some man's gone, he's tried to run my life
    Don't know what he's askin'

He tells me I'd better get in line
    Can't hear what he's sayin'
When I grow up, I'm gonna make it mine
These ain't dues I been payin'

How much does it cost? I'll buy it.
The time is all we've lost. I'll try it.
He can't even run his own life,
I'll be damned if he'll run mine
    Sunshine

    Sunshine go away today,
I don't feel much like dancin'
Some man's gone, he's tried to run my life
    Don't know what he's askin'

Working starts to make me wonder where
fruits of what I do are going
He says in love and war all is fair
He's got cards he ain't showin'

How much does it cost? I'll buy it.
The time is all we've lost. I'll try it.
He can't even run his own life,
I'll be damned if he'll run mine
    Sunshine

Sunshine come on back another day
I promise you I'll be singin'
This old world she's gonna turn around
    brand new bells'll be ringin'

I loved the version of Dock of the Bay with the "Honor to play one of his songs with him here tonight" intro. I also have a great version of Ive Got a Feeling with Ed's little brother on guitar. I wish they would add those 2 songs to the encore rotation.

I'd like to hear them do Roll With It by Oasis. :D

  • Fortunate Son with Sleater-Kinney in Raleigh 03 was always my favorite that I have seen. Crazy Mary is number two. I've also seen them play two songs from Into the Wild, which I guess sort of count as covers. Guaranteed and Setting Forth. I've seen Eddie do these solo a few times now and they were better at his shows.

Just this year though, at Isle of Wight, everything changed when they played Rain, and then ARMS ALOFT! Tops for covers I've seen.

As far as songs I wasn't there for, I did buy a boot specifically to hear Teenage Wasteland, and I would kill to hear The Real Me and Reign Over Me. Yes, I love The Who!
