Lesser known songs you believe could be considered classics.

Sometimes I'll listen to a particular song and think, why isn't this considered a classic in the world of music?  Every time I hear Julian Hatfield's "The Lights" I think, Why isn't this a classic in the world of rock?

What is your hidden classic gem?

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

Almost any song from The Replacements’ “Tim” or “Pleased to Meet Me” albums!

Oh man.  Can’t Hardly Wait (rock version or the one with the horns).  What a band

seeing them “open” for PJ at ACL made me a teenager again for four hours.

Stairway To Heaven Part 2 was recorded by Mother Love Bone in November 1988. It's called Chloe Dancer/Crown Of Thorns

Ooooh...those first two tracks: Like Suicide and Starla. Undiscovered gems! Two of my all-time favorite tracks by any band.

I've always loved Bodies and Silverfuck from Smashing Pumpkins.  Those two songs are masterpieces.

Wild, I like it!  Reminds me of another little known could-have-been classic, Pig Bag, Papa's Got a Brand New Pigbag:
