Set List

01. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
02. Animal
03. Mind Your Manners
04. Do The Evolution
05. Interstellar Overdrive-(Barrett, Mason, Waters, Wright) (instrumental about 1 minute)

(Ed addresses the audience in Dutch.  He is pretty excited about the line up for the festival.  Pearl Jam has played it five times but Matt has played here seven times including Soundgarden.  Ed then introduces the great guitarist and philosopher Kim Thayil as well as the legendary Wayne Kramer.  The rest of the band gets introduced.
07. Kick Out The Jams-(Davis, Kramer, Smith, Thompson, Tyner) w/ Wayne Kramer-guitar, Kim Thayil - guitar, Dug Pinnick - bass, Brendan Canty - tambourine, Marcus Durant - vocals.) Ed and Marcus share vocals.  Jeff, Mike, Stone and Matt all played their normal instruments.
(Jack White played one dedicated to Trump and I don’t want to give Trump too much attention but we have one for him as well.)
08. Even Flow
09. Habit
(Ed talks about being positive and the light from the young that will hopefully grow)
10. Given To Fly

17. Porch (EV climbs down to the barricade)

(Ed makes the point that the people hanging out at Werchter for a few days camping together shows that people from all sorts of countries and communities can get together.  With all the horrific things going on Ed wants to remain positive and remind people that love is the most important thing.  He asks Jack Johnson to join him. Trump is always bragging about his crowd size.  Ed asks the audience to light up their phones so we can show the video and show what a really big crowd is.)
18. Imagine-(Lennon) full band w/ Jack Johnson
19.  Once
(Ed congratulates the Belgian football team in Dutch.  Apologizes for pronunciation.  Wants to play the Ramones for the team)
20. I Believe In Miracles-(Ramone, Ray)
21. Black
22. Rearviewmirror

Encore Break
(Thanks one more time for being back.  Such a pleasure, like surfing big waves.  Some might see an impressively large group but we see individuals and we want to thank you as individuals.)
(Ed wants to dedicate the next song to Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.  Ed admires him as an author, artist and song writer and he got meet him for the first time in a hallway)
23. Alive (Mike goes to the barricade and rocks out)
Mike starts Yellow Ledbetter but Ed wants to play another song first
24. Baba O’Riley-(Townshend) (Ed puts on a Belgium football team jersey)

I love the Nick Cave dedication! He and Roger Waters are at complete political odds and it shows that Ed can respect and support both. We need more of this!

Ed was bff’s with Johnny Ramone who was a hard line republican. I’m finding it harder to keep friends who suport trump because I tired of hearing about Hillary and Obama instead of answering the question.
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.

    Here is Ed's written setlist.

    Scratched off songs:
    Ghost (Wow)
Can't make out the second one (someone please help)
    Deep
Can't make out fourth one (someone please help)
    Yellow Ledbetter

Didn't get to watch much on streams (not that they weren't available, I was just busy), so thanks Sea for the fanviews as always! Looked like a fun festival show with some cool guests too! Also great to hear some Ramones.

Are they though? I think they just decided to approach one issue differently and that's okay.

I’m not sure this is the thread for this but I totally agree with you. It is absolutely ok. I guess the point I’m making is that people are making assumptions about PJ’s politics on this one issue based on the band’s appreciation for Roger Waters. This assumption shouldn’t be made...in either direction. The band can appreciate artists of different political stances based on their art alone. Comfortably Numb (which I love) shouldn’t be seen as a political endorsement. A shout out to Nick Cave shouldn’t be seen as a political endorsement. It is appreciation for good art...that is all.

Good to see bands getting along, without all this rock-n-roll feuding bullshit from the 90s.

I never saw Brendan Canty, nor did Ed mention him.
  • that link shows Brendan pretty clearly.  this video catches Ed thanking him.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llLlNPlyRcY

Thanks, didn't really catch him on the video there, he was quite hidden, I was pretty far back at the show to be fair too. But that article says he was.
  • yep.  no problem.  he seemed hidden away and it took about 4 videos to find one long enough to catch Ed.
