No Cavani, too bad but that was expected. Griezmann mvp, would have set either Lloris or Varane. Lloris stop is the highlight of the game for me, not quite the same match if Uruguay scored that one.

So France vs. Croatia for the first and second place, and Belgium vs. England for the third and fourth. Any predictions Tristelune?

I’d say Belgium over England but it really depends on the degree of motivation of both teams after their loss.
For the final I see France (might be one-sided here  )
Croatia played a lot of overtime and they were already tired yesterday..until they scored what totally woke them up. But England missed many occasions to close the game and that’s not an error France would do.
Lloris is in better shape than Subasic that could make the difference .
The main risk for France is overconfidence plus it’s a final and the story is never written.
And it’s the revenge of France-Croatia 98 which was the real highlight of the 1998 worldcup, we all remember that game here so it’s an easy guess that this opposition means a lot for the Croatians, then you never know.
