In Hiding - my heart's script today

ya know how a song can capture exactly what your heart feels, better than you could ever express? that happened to me today, and it was "in hiding". the guitar riff has been floating in my head all day and i listened to it when i got home and it covers what i've been going thru the past few days. past two weeks were pretty dark, just didn't feel myself and was depressed...and today was when i finally "resurfaced".

these lines more than anything sum it up:
no longer overwhelmed and it seems so simple now
it's funny when things change so much
it's all a state of mind

realizations, a moment of peace, and love - thank goodness for love!! - is what has enlightened me today. thank you PJ for cystallizing that kind of moment.

i have been in my in hiding" phase to, i avoid mostly everyone that doesnt make
me feel like a person

most of the time, like eddie said a friend that politely drags you down,
thats what i feeel like my so called friends do, so im detaching its better

you know your probably not really friends with someone if your going through
a hard time and you may not answer your phone, and they leave threatening messages
thats what i get

and thats why im in hiding

Yeah I agree with Kev, it's great to hear that you are feeling better...and that (ofcourse) PJ helped.


I looove IN HIDING and sooo know what you mean about being able to relate to it and having it just speak to you. Those same exact lines that you mentioned....

YES!!!! That is what ties it all together for me. This fuckin rocks from start to finish, and the actual music is constantly upbeat and happy... but towards the end it just turns around word wise and becomes so hopeful and inspiration. It's THE BEST!

This song and Present Tense have done their fair share of putting things into perspective for me. I love the wake up call music can give you. PJ music none the less. It's beautiful.

time2escape, i'm so sorry you got some peeps dragging you down like that. hopefully the mean calls will stop soon!

thanks kevin and vedhead, i am definitely feeling a lot better now for sure. perspective is definitely what i got yesterday (plus a wonderful comforting convo with my sweetheart), and this song provided the soundtrack for that realization. the stressful situations haven't left but the way i'm dealing with them has changed a little bit, god willing i keep my head on straight!

second there's a line in this tune where ever says
something about shutting up and i can relate
cause i be drinking brew and then all of a sudden
i start ramblin about stuff i don't even know

and third it's a good line for in hiding but
no where near the line from jesus loves me the one
where it goes jesus loves me

take care i gotta go find someone to kick me in the teeth
