Padova/Rome Travel Help

Hello! My wife and I are traveling to Italy for the two shows. We are flying into Venice, then training over to Padova, and then plan on taking the train to Rome. We are unsure the best way to book the train from Padova to Rome? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Also any other travel tips or suggestions would be welcomed. This will be our first time in Italy! We cannot wait. Thanks and you can PM me the info.
