Barry

What a provocatively awesome show this has turned out to be.

It’s not at all the show I thought it would be, and I’ve given up trying to figure out where it’s going.

Agreed.  Really liking it so far.  The bald Chechen dude is hilarious.

Yeah. He plays Victor Zsasz in Gotham, too.

    Bill Hader is outstanding.

His character is baffling.  Which fits him well.

I have not seen this yet, but the thread title alone inspired me to watch a Barry-heavy episode of Red Oaks.

Holy fucking shit! Not at all the show that I assumed I was going to be watching after the first episode. Last night’s episode was hilarious, heartbreaking and nerve racking. Hot damn!

I watched the end of the episode last night, holy crap.  Need to go back and watch the start, the hockey game was still going.

LOVE this show. Has a comedy ever been so dark and intense?

Alright, I'm going to check this out - not only by your comments, but also that the co-creator is Alec Berg.

(plus he's got a good John Houseman name)

I'm really enjoying this show. Bill Hader is so good -- so much better than I would have expected from his SNL/sidekick roles. The Bulgarians (sorry -- Chechens? I must be low on caffeine) are funny. Henry Winkler is a scream. And I have to say, I am pleased that the violence is not too graphic, despite this being an HBO show.

I was partway through the first ep when I had to assist with removing our toilet tank

Really like what I've seen so far and will be sticking with it.

(Just me, or does Hader resemble a cross of Michael C. Hall & Peter Krause?)

Got my husband hooked - we caught eps 2 & 3 (after my having watched the season finale of Bosch...oh god!).  I love how they've incorporated various actors from HBO shows.  And the raisin thief from Seinfeld!

Not a fan of there being only six episodes in this season though.

Looks like there are 8 episodes for the season so still 2 more to come.

Maybe the remaining two just aren't available yet?  All I saw were six, but it may be like Westworld - HBO (via Amazon) puts them up as they air.

In any case, good to know there's more to come than I thought.

Yeah, only 6 have aired so far.  Not sure how the HBO amazon thing works, but I would assume they make them available as they air on regular HBO.

Bosch is so good. Burned through those 10 episodes. Wish I could catch Barry, but no HBO.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I hope that wasn't the final season....I binged hard on the whole thing.

mca, do it!  Some great lines and characters so far.

That last episode needed to happen. The show, even after only 6 episodes, was getting predictable.

I’ve always said the sign of a great show is its willingness to kill off main characters. Taylor sucked....but I was getting the feeling that Barry’s friend was going to play a bigger role moving forward. That would’ve been the easier way out. Glad they had the balls to kill him.

The MacBeth scene was strangely intense.

This is fast becoming one of the best shows on tv

2 episodes in. Not sure if I like it or not. Has its moments.  We'll see.
