Not as weak as Pilgrimage Fest (in it's 3rd year, Eddie Vedder was a headliner last year):

I'm not at all impressed by the Outside Lands headliners but the undercard makes it more than worth attending for me. Bon Iver and The Mountain Goats are two of my favorite performers of all time, and I'm psyched for The Growlers, Beck, James Blake, Broken Social Scene, Perfume Genius, and Mac DeMarco as well. Best West Coast festival lineup I've seen this year in spite of the headliners.

This has easily been the worst year for festivals I’ve ever seen. Seems the bubble has popped.

Spirtual Chaos that's just MEAN to post that one, single example of an EXCELLENT freaking AMAZING lineup!  You're mean!! :)

Gotta say, I also liked a lot of bands on this line up too, though not as many as on that Rock Werchter one:

I should have stated US festivals. Shaky knees looks good, there’s probably 3 or 4 others that look good, but that’s a small percentage of total festivals. Look at Roo, Coachella, ACL, Lolla, Governors ball, outside lands- they can’t compete with past lineups.

There are way too many festivals in the U.S. now, and the overlap between bands is huge.  It was better when Coachella was the only game in town because the line-ups were always very unique, and included a few reunions.

No, it wasn't better when Coachella was the only game in town - well, actually, Coachella was NEVER the ONLY game in town, Lolla was founded long before Coachella.  But even still, Austin City Limits has carved out a good space for itself, and I liked when Coachella, ACL and Lolla were the main 3 games in town.  And Bumbershoot, which may predate all of those other festivals. Bumbershoot used to be amazing.

But now even Bumbershoot is either LiveNation or another giant mega company and it SHOWS, it's so much less innovative.  And yes, totally agree that among the majors (also now including Outside Lands, Governor's Ball, Bonnaroo & Firefly), there is way TOO LITTLE diversity and way too much "Meh".

I love that Shakey Knees line-up, 2nd year in a row they killed me with how good it is.

hate to say this and I don't know if this is still Shakey Knees policy.... but they were founded as a rock n roll ONLY festival.

no Rap, EDM or R&B. I think that makes them try a little harder to get the good bands out there that appeal to most of us PJ fans.

To each their own I guess. I think it is a good lineup. I'd be heading back if I did not have a conflict already.  Might be the best festival I've been too. I guess that could be that it was still pretty small last year. Might not last if it keeps growing.  Also, it was easily the best food I've ever had at a festival.

Lolla started in 91, but it didn't become a destination festival until 2005.  Coachella started in 1999.

When Jack White is the last name on line 5, that's probably a good lineup lol
