    but both versions are amazing....

    I love the 2000 version better or even the record version ...didn't really get into the 2003 version...it dragged a bit....I must say it isn't pj's best song but if you compare In My Tree vs any other band's best song...it will end up kicking its ass.

    I love this song... in my top 5 for favorites, definitely. My favorite versions are the '96 ones... Jack Irons all the way.

    Yeah, IMT from Berlin '96 blows away the 2003 version, but it still rocks, especially MSG I when Boom finally perfected the organ solo

    I only really just discovered this song, it was one of those songs that, you know, you listened to but don't 'really' listen to. Now i love it, it's an amazing song

    DC '96 is great as well, but i do like hartford

    my fav version of In My Tree is Toronto 03'

    but ALL VERSIONS of this songs kick ass

    Both versions are great. I like the original better, but I like the fact that the middle section is extended in the version from the last tour.

    love love LOVE this tune BUT have never heard it live at one of MY shows and the attempts on the boots I have heard are not satisfactory in my opinion. I think they seriously need to practice this one (esp the drums) because it enver seems to take off like it does on the album or when Jack played it. it was his baby though

    I like both versions, but the older one kicks ass. I miss hearing Matt rip on the drums just as the song opens (never heard Jack do it live). The new song has novelty value, and I loved that I couldn't even identify it until Ed starting singing the lyrics (Boston 1), but the long middle part doesn't really add much for me.

    I find the new version adds so much more to the song, booms solo on the organ is amazing, and it seems to feed the band with much more energy when they play this song live!

    two thumbs up for willing to improve/improvise on an old song!
