How did You Can’t Deny Me sound live? I have some worries as to how it could translate live. Hope I’m wrong.
  • I'm getting excited.

Awesome way to open a tour....watched on Periscope and Facebook and can say that Can't Deny Me sounded great. Ed was angry on it, really channeled his emotion. I can't wait to see what this year holds!

    Hey everyone!!!

Show was amazing, best show in Chile. The band needs to play in this venue more for the upcoming South American tours.
There was a lot of hype for this show, and we weren't dissapointed.
Usually first show of a tour is kinda meh, but not this one. First time PJ played in a small venue (18.000) in South America, so it had to be good.
They started with Release which is a classic here in Chile (4 times it has been played here), the Of The Girl, was one of the biggest surprises of the night. For me, Of The Girl, Love Boat, Garden, Arounf the Bend, Confortably Numb were new songs, and of course Can't Deny Me, which sounds really well live considering it was their first time.

Come Back for Chris was one the highlight of the show. Matt T-shirt was beautiful.

One of the best thing is that on Friday we have another concert, festival concert, I don't think there will be lots of rare songs, but it's a PJ concert!

    23/11/2005 - Santiago, Chile

29/03/2018 Sao Paulo - Eddie Vedder

A incredible night for sure. When I think of some moments of the concert, my skin bristles. Despite the impressive list of songs they gave us, "Come Back" in memory of Cornell was by far the most emotional. Half of the Arena sang at the top of its lungs with closed eyes and the rest directly cried. I was one of them.
Thanks for being such a generous band ... PJ love!
PS: I will continue to insist on Friday with my "Breath" sign!

Did they say anything else about Chris? Or just the "Come Back" intro?

In 2005 they played a venue even smaller than the movistar arena, at the Gigantinho stadium in Porto Alegre, Brazil. 14000 capacity. I was there

Was Eddie playing a Stratocaster last night? One photo I saw of him with a guitar really looked like a Strat. I don’t believe he’s ever done that.

You mean with PJ? I’m sure I’ve seen him with a white one during solo shows

Right. Yes. Sorry. I’ve seen that white strat at solo shows, too. Not with the band.

He tends to play the white Strat on Present Tense with PJ, at least as far back as 2010
