What do you guys think they chose Arc as the title of their song to those lost at Roskilde? I am curious about the symbolism here. Would much appreciate your thoughts.

    well,

In all honesty I doubt we'll ever really know what they had in mind. Lol, no one really understands anyone else. When I listen to the song Arc (and btw I never knew until this moment that is was written for them) I always thought it was a solum (whoa sp?) celebration for something.

As for loveboat captain...now that one i dont get.

I think I remember reading once that ARC actually stands for something like "All Roskilde's Children"

    or something like that anyway

i think the "keyboard reaffirmation" lyric is a vague reference to the media and its role in our society. its a computer keyboard. deep, eh?

Hmm yeah. But what does that have to do with Arc?! That's a different song obviously..

Arc is a term sometimes used to describe the revolution of planets around the sun. If you follow them over time, they seem to arc the sky. Nine plantets, Nine decesed. They are shining down on everyone from above. I kinda like that.
Arthur C. Clarke observed once that the number of stars in the sky is roughly equal to the number of human beings that ever walked the earth. So that each soul has its sun. Kinda neat. I like that too.

Im curious to know the source that acronym.

I remember that too. But it could be just the interpretation of another fan. Whatever the reason, the title is definitely Arc.

  • I also heard ARC stood for All Roskildes Children.

'lost nine friends we'll never know, two years ago today'

Puzzled as to why Boom would be involved in a song tributed to the victims but never mind.
