Immortality in KC

wooooweeeeee, I just absolutely love this version...being there in the pouring rain with all the cool light effects and the lightning and hearing this song was like a religious experience, whenever I listen to the bootleg, I have to close my eyes and put myself back at the show...anyone else share the sentiments that this is a GREAT version?

KC was definatly a special show, short and sweet, and it was so nice to hear Ed say " see ya same time next year".

I think all songs in KC show were special... but more than Immortality, I think Release was fantastic!!! The lightning that cut the sky in the middle of the song and Eddie saying "hi dad" after it was AMAZING
...We´re faithful, we all believe, we all believe...
  • I think Immortality anywhere is automatically kickass
"Esther's here and she's sick... hi Esther, now we're all going to be sick, thanks." EV Palace of Auburn Hills 10-7-00
  • I was quite impressed that Eddie remembered the words.

Granted, Immortality was the sixth song, so perhaps the wine hadn't kicked in yet.
  • That wine always helps along the process...

I asked my wife to marry me at that show. And yes, very wet.

Looks like that was the show to be at for those of us who are romantics. I wish I was there. . .

Looks like '03 or earlier. I just started to dig up old threads and bump them up. Isn't that a kick in the head? It's like a time warp.

I was at that show and it RULED - it was in '03. Soaking wet from my shoes to my hair - I wore a poncho, but it didn't really help 'cause it was raining HARD. My wallet even got wet. I started screaming "YESSS!!!" when they played Immortality, because that's in my top 5 PJ songs.

I liked Ed's comment "Well, Kansas City, you've really outdone yourselves tonight, honest to God."
"As long as the music's loud enough, we won't hear the world falling apart."—Jubilee

small clarification. ed said " .. honest to god, trooth"

kudos to my date that night. not a pj nut case like the rest of us. she brought a parka (still got soaked) and never once asked if we could leave..

    thanks marcia :p

    the entire show was awesome

    how about 'fuckin up'

"all you fuckers on the hill,
(why do i, why do i)
    soakin' wet and rockin still!"

you owe us one pj.. kc 2007!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
